The cicadas are chirping and the songbirds are singing merrily from afar. The smell of floral and fauna that surround me are so intensely invigorating that took me right back to those carefree days in Bali.
Welcome to Gold Coast Hinterland in late autumn where temperature still hovers between 20 to 24 degree during the day, and the rainforest so lush that guarantees to enliven every single green soul.
It was another impromptu weekend road trip that I decided to embark on when I woke up to the blissful autumn sun in early May. Every now and then, the green soul inside me yearns for a spot to retreat to where the only music that plays in the background is the sound of nature. I didn’t quite feel like wearing on my hiking shoes. Instead, I went for my pair of lace espadrilles (yep – there’s a pair of pretty yet practical shoes for every occasion!). I knew it wouldn’t let me down for this light-duty type of walk as it has conquered the concrete laneways in Hong Kong with me as well as the tracks in Byron Bay Hinterland through the wet eucalypt forest.
Slipping on my organic cotton top bought from Tree of Life which is flowy, breathable and feels as soft as baby skin, this lookbook is one that’s effortlessly boho while also keeping my skin sun safe. I’m definitely not slacking off on slopping on sunscreen and frolicking in sun-smart clothing in these cooler months, and you shouldn’t too!
